Inside Fuel to Fire
Our Story
We are a family business creating luxury homeware and gifts made of wood and wax. Our candles and wax melts are hand poured in small batches and our wood products are designed and produced in our Warwickshire workshops.
After 28 years in healthcare, I decided it was time for a charge. I’ve been obsessed with candles for as long as I can remember. Long before Fuel to Fire was born I had been making candles to burn at home and as gifts for friends and family. There is something mesmerising about the flicker of a candle flame. After long shifts I found lighting a candle rejuvenating and good for the soul. Initially, I had focused on decorative pillar candles and loved making candles that become part of a room’s charm and elegance. I started making scented candles soon after and my fascination with fragrance began.
While I’m in charge of all things wax and fragrance, the woodwork is Oliver’s area. The woodwork side of the business began when I kept nagging Oliver to make things to complement my candles and wax melts. He had been interested in woodwork as a hobby for a long time although his focus had been on bigger products like garden furniture.
We aim to be as eco-friendly as possible focusing on sustainability and keeping our carbon footprint low. Everything we don’t make ourselves is sourced in the UK. Our gifts boxes are all handmade, labels are designed and printed in the workshop even our wooden candle lids are engraved by us. Candles are fuel to be burnt but everything else that we make can be recycled except the wick sticker found at the base of the container candles and the silicone rim to the container candle lids
